PLANNING AND LOGISTIC CONTROLLER

Salary up to £28k (DOE)

Purpose of the role 

Verelogic are seeking an O&M Planning and Logistics Controller on behalf of our client, to provide administrative and planning support to their O&M Planners.

The successful candidate will coordinate, control, and develop all client O&M inventory, stock & audit related activities and provide weekend cover.

 

Duties and responsibilities 

  • Creation of service orders, scheduling jobs and reviewing closed service orders.

  • Preparation and co-ordination of quotations

  • Provide weekend cover

  • Raise purchase orders, liaising with suppliers and field service engineers (FSE), tracking of all purchase orders and maintaining records for costs.

  • Maintaining client contact.

  • Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and reports

  • Mange the stock take portfolio schedule for contractual spares while working with the planning team and our asset managers ensuring all spares audit for that month are completed on time.

  • Ensure management of our proof of delivery records are correct and up to date.

  • Highlight any data discrepancies and chase our FSE teams for further updates.

  • Identify shortages in contractual spare numbers and obtain approval, quotations and costings in order to reorder on a proactive basis.

  • Own, manage and improve our spares reporting through IAuditor or other systems as required to provide correct client information.

  • Manage and maintain client O&M inventory including stock profiles at numerous locations.

  • Controlling costs within budgetary limits.

  • Liaise with suppliers, raise purchase orders, and tracking of orders.

  • Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure.

  • Proactively establish commercial opportunities.

  • Liaise with stakeholders to understand forecasted requirements and manage supply to maintain high levels of customer service.

  • Support regional planning through supply led modelling.

  • Update business systems with accurate stock figures and investigate discrepancies.

  • Liaise with couriers to arrange collection and deliveries.

  • Management of the central storage facility including stock levels, stock checks and deliveries.

 

Knowledge 

Knowledge of Solar PV related materials would be advantageous, but previous experience in a similar electrical role will be essential.

 

Work Skills 

Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.

Experience 

  • Proven stock, audit and inventory control background in a similar environment.

  • Proven administration background in a similar environment.

  • Experience in client interaction.

  • Creation of service orders, scheduling jobs and reviewing closed service orders.

 

Education and Qualifications 

Ideally possessing a relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in inventory management.
