Job Title: Mechanical Designer

Location: Stoke-on-Trent (Hybrid Options Available)

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 DOE

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our clients team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This is a high-priority hire with an immediate start available for the right candidate. The role is based in or around the Stoke-on-Trent area, with flexibility for hybrid work once settled in.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design of mechanical systems including ventilation, domestic water, heating, and air conditioning for construction projects.

• Produce detailed drawings and layouts using CAD software.

• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop cost-effective and practical design solutions.

• Work with site teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure designs are implemented effectively.

• Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation and specifications.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in mechanical design within the construction industry.

• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP).

• Strong understanding of mechanical building systems (HVAC, domestic water, etc.).

• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment.

• BIM modelling experience is a plus, but not essential.

• A valid UK driving licence

Working Hours & Benefits:

• Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Friday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

• Holidays: 25 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day every 2 years of service (up to 30 days after 10 years).
