JR ENGINEERING MANAGER

We are currently looking for a Junior Engineering Manager to work for our highly prestigious client within the renewable industry. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual looking for a career in a vastly expanding and fantastic industry.

 

What You’ll do (the role):

Summary

  • Supporting the FSEs, the Monitoring team and the Communication Engineers remotely

  • IV curves and drone thermal surveys analysis

  • Management of the calibration of the pyros

  • Liaison with modules and inverters manufacturers and management of claims

  • IT and comms troubleshooting

  • On site activity (IV curves and thermal analysis) by exception

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Control and track the calibration dates and certificates.

  • Coordinating and scheduling the dismounting/mounting activity of the pyros to be inspected and calibrated.

  • Liaising Hukseflux calibrations (exports and imports paperwork)

  • Assisting the Field service and monitoring teams to provide technical support when required.

  • Established interdepartmental relationships to manage Excel spreadsheets content and SolarVista software for reporting of engineering resource needs relative to current and pending projects, stock, quotations, purchase orders (POs), etc.

  • Supervision and creation of the aerial/handy thermal assessments.

  • Liaise with the PV module manufacturers the claims with all data provided by the FSE.

  • Liaise with the client all these claims if required.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and associated periodic meetings.

  • Support and oversee component manufacturing CAD files amendments.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Able to write and provide technical support in different engineering aspects.

  • Client management.

  • Communicate effectively with Manufacturers and third-party vendors.

  • Delivery of multiple tasks based on the current priorities.

  • IT system architecture literate.

  • Able to adapt and learn new tasks.

  • To be well organized and disciplined to keep track of more than 200 site’s records.

Experience Required

  • Industrial employment in PV energy or engineering industry

  • Educational Qualification

  • Degree in Engineering, Masters or other relative qualifications and supporting working experience would be considered
