A leading provider of specialist air hygiene and water treatment solutions in the UK is seeking to expand its team of Mechanical Technicians. With a long-standing reputation in the industry, the company operates on a national level, servicing a diverse range of clients including high security establishments, healthcare facilities, local government, educational institutions, and more. Headquartered in Bristol, the organisation has specialist teams of technicians located across the country.

The company is currently looking to increase its team of Mechanical Technicians, ideally those situated in the Northampton/Leicester area, with convenient access to the M1. The role involves working on-site at various locations throughout England, requiring a willingness to travel and stay overnight as necessary.

Given the nature of the work, predominantly on high-security sites, successful candidates will need to undergo security vetting, ranging from baseline enhanced DBS checks to high-level security clearance. The position requires applicants with experience in the installation of heating and ventilating ductwork and related tasks.

​

Key Tasks Include:

• Replacing fire dampers, including necessary ductwork modifications
• Installing and modifying ducting and fire dampers
• Testing and inspecting fire dampers
• Conducting air handling unit maintenance and pre-planned maintenance
• Servicing and repairing air handling units, HVAC heating and ventilation services plant, and associated equipment
• Performing site surveys and problem-solving
• Submitting all reports, survey forms, and job sheets

Essential Experience/Qualifications:

• Experience in ventilation duct installation
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Heating & Ventilation Ductwork Installation
• Full driving licence

Ideal Experience/Qualifications:

• Experience in fire damper installation
• Relevant industry-specific NVQ/qualification
• Previous experience in heating and ventilation repair/maintenance
• Mechanical health and safety training/awareness
• Basic electrical training would be advantageous
