NETWORK MANAGER

Summary

We have an exciting and challenging opportunity to join an industry leading organisation as a Network Manager to provide support to a school’s ICT systems across two sites.

As Network Manager you will be responsible for the management, installation, maintenance, availability, and security of the schools’ ICT network. You must be dedicated to delivering the clients support service in a manner that embraces their company values. It is your job to facilitate communication between your school and the client, keep up to date with what services the client can offer, and manage the accounts of your customers.

 

Management Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing and controlling all technical aspects of the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance and development of the school’s ICT hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

  • Provide monthly reports to the key school contact prior to monthly reporting meeting as agreed such as:

 

o Updated hardware asset register, updated software, and licensed content register

o Monthly Backup report

o Monthly patching report

o Monthly review of previous month and forward plan for following month

o Updated operational Risk register

o Updated projects risk register (if applicable that month)

o Project plans (if applicable that month)

 

Desktop and application support

  • Manage the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of desktop hardware (including peripherals) and software

  • Support Audio Visual requirements to support teaching and learning

  • Manage advanced diagnosis procedures on hardware, software, and peripherals

  • Ensure that all help-desk tickets are logged, tracked, and resolved in-line with the clients’ policies and procedures

  • Manage and support specialist software as necessary

 

Server and Network Support

  • Effectively monitor, manage, and maintain all infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, SAN, Wi-Fi, and networking equipment

  • Ensure that backup and archive systems are in place and are compliant with the customer and client policy and procedures

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of all infrastructure equipment

  • Manage key services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
