We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Semi Senior to join an established accountancy practice in Newton-le-Willows.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts professional with 2-3 years' experience gained within an accountancy practice who is looking to continue developing their technical skills and progress their career within practice.

The successful candidate will ideally be part-qualified ACA or ACCA and will have strong experience in accounts preparation. Previous audit experience would be advantageous, although this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of clients

• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies

• Prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships

• Ensure accounts are prepared accurately and in accordance with relevant accounting standards

• Assist with tax compliance work where required

• Liaise with clients regarding accounts preparation and routine accounting queries

• Work closely with senior members of the team to ensure client deadlines are met

• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively

• Assist with audit assignments where required

• Contribute to the wider accounts team and support the delivery of a high-quality service to clients

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 2-3 years' experience within an accountancy practice

• ACA or ACCA part-qualified

• Strong experience in preparing company, sole trader and partnership accounts

• Previous audit experience would be advantageous but is not essential

• Good technical accounting knowledge

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organisational skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• A proactive approach with a genuine desire to develop within practice
