Associate Director - Building Control

Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire (Hybrid Working Available)

A specialist Building Control and Fire Safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Registered Building Inspector to join its Senior Management Team.

This is a rare opportunity for an RBI Class 3G/3H professional to combine strategic leadership, team management and hands-on Building Control delivery within a growing and highly respected consultancy.

The Role

• Lead and develop a team of Registered Building Inspectors

• Play a key role in business growth and strategic decision-making

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality Building Control and consultancy services

• Manage workload allocation, performance and professional development

• Maintain responsibility for a portfolio of Building Control projects and clients

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, developers, architects and contractors

Requirements

• Registered Building Inspector (RBI) Class 3G or 3H

• Extensive Building Control experience

• Previous management, leadership or mentoring experience

• Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

• Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with technical delivery
